College-cafeteria flashback! If nothing else, this do-it-yourself yogurt bar delivers choice: 14 flavors of fro-yo, 40-plus toppings (malted milk balls, cereals, mochi cubes, fresh fruit), all culminating in a weigh-in. A half-pound of whatever you toss together is $3.99; a cup the size of a medium at comparable fro-yo joints will run you a little more than $5. No amount of mixing and matching can make up for the fro-yo’s consistency, though: chocolate, vanilla and pistachio were icy and melted into a watery liquid with astonishing speed. We had better luck with red velvet and peanut butter, but at Forever Yogurt, there’s plenty of opportunity to make your own successes…or mistakes.
