Like a few other Chicago start-ups, FÜL hopes to capitalize on people's desire to eat healthy, as well as their perceived lack of time and energy to do so. This healthy-fast-food model includes smoothies that are a little lackluster (opting for a granola topping helps), salads that are crisp but basic, and sandwiches that look and taste like what you'd find at any decent coffee shop. Your best bet: Get the chicken-Gruyère panini, which achieves the restaurant's goal of healthy food (only 392 calories!) but doesn't necessarily taste like it.
