Good Stuff Eatery

DC chef Spike Mendelsohn opens his first Chicago outpost of Good Stuff Eatery, a burger and milkshake spot. The burgers, like the Prez Obama bacon-onion marmalade-roquefort and horseradish mayo-topped burger, are good, but the shakes, particularly the creamy, gooey toasted marshmallow milkshake, are the stars.

As I waited to get my food a friendly woman and I began to chat and she shared that she was picking up dinner for her family to take back to the suburbs. That's when I knew I was in for a good meal - no one takes a regular fast food burger for a lengthy commute to feed their family.

And it really was good stuff! A perfect amount of food and a great flavor. I took it just a short walk to Millennium Park and had my very own picnic ready for the free movie. Next time around, I have to make sure I get a shake too. Next time your looking for a cheap burger (in price, not quality) definitely give this place a try!
