Guys & Wok (CLOSED)

Far be it from us to claim that this particular part of Lakeview has the city's largest concentration of guys who love Asian food. But every stereotype has a kernel of fact, and turning those kernels into truths is this stylish little restaurant. The menu leans Thai (with orange chicken thrown in because, why not?): We liked the curry puffs (stuffed with potatoes and onions) and spicy papaya salad, and we had more success with the typical curries than with the housemade but dry Thai-style pork sausages, served with sticky rice. With only a few stools in the space, G&W also leans heavily on carryout, delivery or pouring panang curry down your throat after a long night at Spin. (It's open until 3am on weekends.)
