Time Out says

When you want both a plate of tacos and a sceney night out, this West Loop taqueria fits the bill. Juicy, BBQ grilled al pastor tacos marinated in guajillo chilies make for a delicious guilty pleasure, while more refined tacos include the skirt steak taco paired with potato and onion, and the chorizo, whose kick is tempered by cool crema. Fresh corn tamales shine with straight-off-the-cob flavor that goes perfectly with one of the tart hibiscus margaritas.

De Cero has a very large variety of guacamoles and salsas. All of them are incredible. I think that might be the best thing about this place, to be honest. There is also a huge variety of margaritas. Something I loved about here was there was a large variety of vegetarian and fish tacos. Most Mexican places are usually lacking in these areas. Everything was priced very reasonably as well. I would definitely come back!

I went to De Cero this weekend and really loved it. I'm not what you would call adventurous when it comes to tacos (I usually like to stick with chicken or beef, cheese, guac, and salsa), but De Cero allowed me the opportunity to step out of the box and stick with my roots. They have a list of about 15 to 20 tacos that cost around $3.50 and you can choose as many as you want. Its a really great menu for people who aren't good at deciding what they want (you can choose 2-3 salsas from a list of 6 to start as well.)

I'm picky and the water was great about the changes I asked for (adding cheese, not adding sour cream ect.) I got their strawberry mint margarita and it was amazingly refreshing and the rest of their coctail list looked great as well. If you're looking for a casual Mexican restaurant with a gourmet twist on traditional favorites I definitely recommend De Cero!
