It's National Hot Dog Month! Today, we're visiting Byron's.
Byron's They had me at Dogzilla. With a name like that, and the promise of a half-pound Vienna Beef frank, the Dogzilla ($4) was meant to be mine. The dog itself didn't disappoint: Meaty and perfectly cooked, it snapped with every bite. But many of the toppings (green peppers? Shredded iceberg lettuce?) were not only Chicago-style sacrilege but also a messy distraction from the delicious frank.—Laura Baginski
