Standbys like pomegranate pear or seasonal specials like pumpkin attain surprisingly creamy consistency, and hot pudding (in as nutso a combination as your heart desires) on a cool night is never a bad thing, but novelty goes only so far. The end results suffer from the same shortcomings: pallid, artificial-tasting flavors that’ll leave you jonesing for an old-fashioned scoop of Ben & Jerry’s.
