The comfortable, neighborhood izakaya focuses on Japanese food, specifically the types of fried snacks and grilled meats that you want to eat while drinking. That's good news, since you'll likely want to sample several things from the beverage menu. Cocktails are smart and nicely balanced, so they're a good place to start the evening, while the sake menu offers plenty of affordable choices. For food, there's a lot to like, and it's all easy to share—try hearty rice sliders, like deep fried shrimp with spicy mayo, gently sweet grilled chicken meatballs, and goma ae, spinach with sesame sauce.

Delicious sake and Japanese rice whiskeys, endless small-plates options for sharing. You can go heavy / fried / meaty or light and vegetably and you'll have a delicious meal either way. Service has been EXCELLENT every time I've gone, too. Very reasonably priced for the quality, which is unmatched.
