If Ron Swanson opened a restaurant, it would be the Kaiser Tiger: Their specialty is the Bacon Bomb, a 5-pound, bacon-covered meatloaf made with beef, pork and more bacon. Kaiser Tiger also features beer and sausage on their menu, plus a wide variety of craft beers.

Kaiser Tiger has an extensive beer list if you're into that but I find the food delicious as well. It's a really large indoor space with an outdoor patio if you want to meet up with a bunch of friends.

When I saw The Bomb Sandwich on the menu I knew what I was ordering. It was as good and is sounded and looked. The peppery sandwich went well with my quite spicy Bloody Mary. The fresh cut fries are phenomenal and I suggest ordering a small tray for 2-3 people because you get a lot of them.

Great for beers and groups but not a lot of TVs if you want to go watch some games.

I am actually shocked that only 3 people have written reviews on this place before me. Not only is this one of the rare outdoor patio bars, but they have bocce ball for half the year and the other half of the year they have CURLING!!! Picture bocce ball on ice, in the winter, with bonfires around the rink, with a drink and some great food....that's how you do Chicago winter right!

The food is a perfect pairing for the beer list. A little on the heavy side but that's why they have the bocce/curling, to help you work it off. I recommend the bacon grenades and fries with all the dipping sauce choices (irish curry is amazing).

You can tell the staff has worked together for a long time, and are extremely helpful if you need some advice on beer or food choices.

Also, this is the perfect place to host a party. Whether it's small for a family event or a large corporate party...they'll have the venue that's the right fit for you.

Kaiser Tiger has an amazing beer selection (and a good menu if you need to grab something to eat). The space is large, but it gets packed on weekends and evenings.
