Koi has no reason to be jealous of its popular, older sister, Chens in Wrigleyville. This pan-Asian hot spot’s got its own cool vibe. Even though this isn’t the place for a Chinese or Japanese cuisine purist, the food can be unexpectedly good, especially the Szechuan red snapper, lemon chicken and moo shu wraps. If you dig unpredictability, go for a sushi special plate, a selection of fish compiled on the chef’s whim, starting at $40. Be sure not to overlook the selection of specialty teas, which includes rare varieties like miteag genmaicha, a mix of sencha and brown rice.
