In the bustling Avondale neighborhood, earth-toned walls, hardwood floors, colorful artwork, gracious service and occasional live music qualify as an upscale dining experience. At this Ecuadorian/pan-Latin spot, appetizers (such as the signature piping-hot, tamale-like humita) and desserts (spongy, sweet corn cake wrapped in a banana leaf) steal the show. Seafood dishes are pricey for what you get (the $6.95 tilapia lunch special is a better bet), but the juicy churrasco steak is a filling value with sides of avocado, fries and eggs.
