It’s okay to splash a little red sauce on the butcher-paper-topped tables in this raucous storefront. Old friends and big families admire the autographed celebrity photos and shots of the owner’s family tacked to the frescoed walls. Smiling waiters squeeze between tables juggling huge plates of eggplant parmigiana and bottles of decent Italian red. Order any of the appropriately garlicky pastas and a plate of escarole and beans for the table; the leftovers will warm up just fine tomorrow.

This restaurant has the best Italian food! The portions are enormous and the prices are super reasonable! The staff is great and Armando, one of the two awesome owners, is delightfully witty and completely charming! We love this place!!!!!!!
This place is great. I ventured here with a friend while I was apartment hunting before I moved to Chicago. It was a cold and drizzly night in December. We didn't know what we were doing or where we were going but a gal at an Italian bakery a few blocks away recommended this place without hesitation. They asked us if we had reservations and, of course, we did not. But they fit us in anyway. Squeezed into an afterthought space, we were still treated with the best and most attentive service. I don't remember the names of what we ordered, but each entree was spectacular. Indulgent, decadent, filling beyond belief. And all the photos on the wall provide endless entertainment. I can't wait to go back again and again.
