I love Lark. The back patio is great and so lovely in the summer. They have a great menu offering and cool events. I really enjoy that they have a bunch of games to play while you dine or drink. The staff is always super friendly and on point. For food, I would definitely recommend the pizza and brunch! They have bottomless mimosas for $18 now, with purchase of one of their delicious entrees. They have a great happy hour, too! Definitely worth checking it out if you are in Boystown.

Decent food and a busy crowd here! I would definitely say that this is elevated bar food. There is steak and calamari on the menu but the environment feels like you're better off with a burger! I was surprised by the arancini which was crispy and cheesy, really tasty. My friend loved the pizza too. Unfortunately the food was overshadowed by loud and inebriated crowds combined with lackluster service. It seemed like servers had the day off and the bartender wandered over with a pen after a half hour. I might go back here to grab a beer on the patio!

Other than the confusing entrance (the host stand around the bar and past some tables), the layout and vibe of Lark is great - the back patio is large and on a recent Friday night visit, tables were still available. My raspberry basil lemonade was refreshing and sweet - good, but the sweetness may be too much after a couple. Tempura fried green beans were good, but the tempura style breading was a bit heavy. My roasted fruit-brined half chicken was good... but the mashed potatoes were overwhelming and took over the dish. While my food experiences weren't the best, I cut them a bit of a slack for still being new, and I'll still be happy to go back and try out their pizza (which I've heard great things about). Proceed with caution, but still check it out.
