Located in a Victorian-style home originally built in 1896, Mary's Restaurant has a long tradition of providing fine dining options and historic ambience. Owners David and Carla Hays bought the restaurant in 1992 and have since also opened a bed and breakfast next door. Mary's Restaurant features a variety of superb traditional, contemporary and specialty offerings, and the menu changes frequently. Typical entrees include meat and seafood dishes such as Alaskan king crab, shrimp, lobster, fresh fish and various cuts of USDA prime beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck and even ostrich.
Enjoy the restaurant for lunch or dinner, or make a reservation to stay at the bed and breakfast and treat yourself to items from the breakfast menu, too. Mary's Restaurant is located in the middle of the 500 block in Herrin, on the west side of Route 148 (also known as Park Avenue within the city limits).
