The people who run Los Nopales are behind this Edgewater Mexican restaurant, so expect dishes that range from solid to great. Our picks: the ensalada de nopales, with strips of grilled cactus played against cool julienned jicama; the costillas, fall-off-the-bone tender baby-back ribs in a sweet ancho-chile sauce; and camarones al chipotle, jumbo, perfectly grilled shrimp.

We love great, authenic Mexican cuisine and have been coming here since it opened--the food and service never disappoints. The atmosphere is comfortable; and the owners as well as the entire staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We truly feel at home whenever we dine here.
I've been visiting Mas Alla Del Sol for 4+ years. Their menu contains all of the traditional Mexican dishes that I am accustom to as well as some things I had never seen line the lamb shank with corn mashed potatoes (which I highly recommend). The family that runs the restaurant treats all who enter like family. Sometimes, they even have live music!
Mas Alla Del Sol is everything you want out of a REAL MEXICAN RESTAURANT! Chips & Salsa on the house! Honestly, my favorite seat in the house is the bar. The bar tenders are incredibly friendly and know how to make a beautiful, cocktail-grade Margarita. Great place to watch soccer without losing the restaurant ambiance. As a Texan-native, it took me a long time to find a Mexican restaurant worthy of praise in Edgewater (there are some excellent Mexican Seafood joints further south), but MADS is by far my local FAVORITE!
