This pan-Latin mecca manages to brighten a dreary, industrial corner that sits between Chinatown and Pilsen. Chef-owner Mario Santiago drops fresh avocados and grilled chicken into a perfectly spicy tortilla soup, pairs juicy mangos and plump shrimp in a quesadilla and gives chicken fajitas a kick with gobs of cinnamon and chipotle. Three little coins of mango flan make for an insanely decadent ending—but it’s only truly insane if you forgo it.
