Chef Michael Lachowicz made a name for himself at other local and beloved French eateries. He made such a name, in fact, that he christened this venture after himself. Though he’s not reinventing the wheel here, the man can cook. Delectable classics abound: gooey cheese puffs, smoked salmon-topped potato pancake, an impossibly tender filet–and–short rib duo, and a rich hot chocolate–and–soufflé combo. Lachowicz proves that no matter whose name is on the door, the draw is what’s on the plate.
