A fast-food joint that claims it’s dedicated to “freshness” is one thing. A fast-food joint that proves it is another. Nesh bakes its own pita, and the soft, warm bread heightens everything put into it: smoky baba ghanoush, fried-to-order falafel—even the somewhat dry chicken shawarma benefits. Another housebaked bread the kitchen calls “shrock” (a flatbread used for wraps) is slightly less delicious than the pita. But for such fresh food at such cheap prices, it’s hard to complain.
