Time Out says

The Lettuce Entertain You team lures continuous crowds here with Italian shared plates offered at reasonable prices. Servers will steer you toward the “Italian dinner party,” but remember that anything can be ordered à la carte. For the fixed price, seasonal tastes arrive in waves and you choose only your entrée. Marinated olives in herbed oil with warm focaccia are followed by antipasti like veal meatballs. Hearty pastas rotate, but may include a tasty bolognese pappardelle. Skip the wine list and try the creative “Just Bring Me Wine” pairings.

Met a friend on a Thursday night. I was a bit early so I headed to the bar. It was probably about 5:30 and there was one table in the back and one other person seated at the bar. I waited and waited and waited for the bartender to acknowledge me. My friend got there and asked what I was drinking and I had to reply, "nothing, because the bartender is ignoring me." I had to say excuse me while seated right in front of him to get his attention. After having been there for a solid ten minutes I had to ask for a menu. We ordered a mushroom pizza and each had one drink. The food was great. The drinks were lovely. The space was cute, quaint and romantic. I hardly noticed that it was attached to a hotel. It wasn't until he handed us the bill - mind you, without asking if we wanted another drink or anything else - that he decided to be friendly. I'd return, but hope for better service.
