Ravenswood locals can wave good-bye to Bongo Room, Toast, Orange and all those other funky brunch spots in town. Because now, thanks to Jon Cignarale–himself a veteran of m. henry and Uncommon Ground—they have their own. Dishes like oversize pancakes stuffed with blackberries and topped with orange butter, eggs served “sassy” (atop chorizo hash) and spicy vegan chilaquiles (who knew tofu could be greasy?) are carried through this bright, cheery dining room by the tray-full during the busy weekend brunch. But with the good comes the bad: The wait for tables sometimes spills out onto the sidewalk.
