Suckers for free food eat well at this family-run Persian spot: Order the village salad of tomato, cucumber, pepper, stuffed grape leaves, basil, olives and feta, and you’ll also get a bowl of lentil soup. Choose entrées such as the baby lamb shank simmered in walnut-pomegranate sauce or the lemon-honey chicken breast with currants, and you’ll not only get soup but a perfectly dressed house salad as well. And the vanilla ice cream topped with honey and cinnamon? You won’t find that on your check, either.

The ambiance of the restaurant is eclectic, but definitely cute and romantic. The menu is limited compared to other Persian restaurants. My sultani tasted more like generic middle eastern kabob than the Persian seasoning that I'm accustomed to. I asked for some parsley, and I got a few sprigs, as well as a little cup of must-e khiar (cucumber yogurt). When our bill came, we got free red roses! The service was extraordinary! Also, the roses are definitely a nice touch and makes me feel appreciated as a customer.
