The focus of this Sicilian bakeshop is to make us fat, and it does it with the sfogliatelle cookie (delicate layers of pastry encase orange-kissed ricotta); its famous ricotta-filled cannoli; and the barca di crema, a square of puff pastry filled with cream and topped with amarena cherries that are so intoxicatingly delicious you’ll swear they’ve been soaking in liqueur. Beware that the shop closes early if the day’s supply runs dry.
