The portions are as big as the personality of this breakfast-and-lunch institution that’s packed with tchotchkes and mismatched chairs. Blueberry-studded pancakes the size of dinner plates are dense with fruit; and giant chunks of flaky salmon, white and green asparagus, and goat cheese stuff a five-egg omelette served with crispy potatoes. Of the sandwiches, the turkey Reuben stands out, thick with a third-pound of turkey, kraut and gooey cheese, accompanied by double-battered fries and housemade soup on the side. The only thing scaled back here? The prices.
