Time Out says

Why the exclamation point? Because Prost! is very excited about German beer. There are 24 of them on tap, all offered in various sizes and served in the appropriate glassware. The beer-hall look and menu of schnitzel and pretzels make things extra Deutsch. But when you see people slam multiple beers from oversized glass boots, you’ll know you’re in Lincoln Park.

This is a great place to settle in with friends on a cold Chicago night. The beer is great and the pretzels are amazing. The cozy German style beer hall warms up the place that makes anyone feel comfortable.

This is a favorite spot for friends when we just want to hang out and get together, no extra fuss. The beer list is always good and the multiple sizes makes it easier to try out a few throughout the night. Grab a few of the pretzels for the table and settle in for a good night!

It's rare to find a German bar outside of the Lincoln Square neighborhood so this was a welcomed addition to the Lakeview/Lincoln Park area. I've been here once or twice and just loved the atmosphere. The large heavy wood tables are big and few so it encourages patrons to sit with complete strangers and get to know your neighbors.

Disappointingly the location is generally hit or miss with the crowds. Sometimes I pass by and it's fairly empty while other times it's overflowing so I hope we can get the word out and keep this bar in business because it's unique take on bringing the European traditions to a rather vanilla neighborhood is much appreciated by those of us looking for something more here. It's also a big hit with Wisconsin Badgers! And the times I was here, the bands were great too so more reasons to love this place.

Prost is a great spot if you're going out with a large group. The german style beer hall is set up in the classic beer hall style, but they also have high tops in case you have a smaller group. They also have a ton of TVs, so if you're looking for a good place to watch a hawks or bulls game this is definitely a good option.
