These tacos came highly recommended, but I have to say, I really wasn't all too impressed, sadly. I think this seems like a great addition to the Albany Park neighborhood, and the patio is darling. However, the drinks were pretty steeply priced for what they were, and the tacos weren't super high quality for the prices either ($4 a pop). In fact, the simple chicken tinga taco was probably my favorite. The chorizo was a little burned. The charred squash wasn't so much charred as it was mashed. I'd probably go here every now and then if I lived in the area, but I don't.

The food is amazing ! The chicken tinga sopes are to die for, and soo juicy. The guac is def worth it. I am a huge fan of tamales, and these ones do not disappoint. The vibe is def pretty good.

The original venue of Rojo Gusano started as the "new face on the block" in an area that hadn't seen a surge of restaurant business in, well, a long time. By choosing this location as its first, Rojo Gusano cemented the notion that everything goes in this beachy, california-inspired taco joint. Patrons and staff alike can all agree that this is the place to be if you're looking for quality food with great vibes.

Love that the front windows open to make it feel like you're eating outside. The butternut squash taco is on my top bites of 2016. It's a cool vibe and the food is delicious whether you're there for dinner or brunch.
