Adding the back patio to St. Lou's Assembly was the best decision they could have made. When you first walk in, be prepared to feel like you've stepped back in time to an old diner from the 70s. As long as it's a nice day, just head to the back patio. It's modern with big tables and bocce ball. There's a few cocktails served on draft, including a frozen piña colada from Moneygun. But we're partial to the lavender lemonade with your choice of clear spirit (we chose gin), bright and refreshing for a warm day. The meat and threes are all solid picks, but we'd snack on the fried okra all day.

I recently went to Saint Lou's for their outdoor patio silent disco and had a GREAT time. We got there early which I definitely recommend - it didn't take long until all the headphones had been given out and there was a line waiting for people to turn them in. But while you're there early grab some dinner and make a night of it! Their biscuits are fantastic and along with the jerk chicken & sides, I had enough food to split with my partner. As mentioned below I also noticed that they seemed to be understaffed... the wait time for orders was long. I think after about 40 minutes and a couple asks we finally got water for the first time. If that service aspect can be remedied Saint Lou's will definitely be a place to be!

This is the place to be this summer! We made it in on memorial day weekend (while everyone else was at their lake house!) so we had an easy time finding a table, however I do know this place gets packed pretty quickly on nice days! Their secluded beer garden offers bocce ball, stadium style seating, and your run of the mill umbrella tables. The cocktail list is fantastic, the frozen rose and white wine spritzer were beyond refreshing on a hot day. Their brunch and lunch menus boast plenty of options but the patty melt is one of the best I have ever had! Definitely worth the wait on a nice day!

This is a great patio in the summertime, but everyone else knows it, so it's often packed. I've been here twice, once just for drinks and last night for dinner and drinks. The cocktails are very well made--this concept is from the same people behind MoneyGun next door. So great.

The food is also pretty damn delicious, especially the grilled cheese and the mac and cheese! They know about the cheeses here. They do seem slightly understaffed to handle the crowds in the summer, so hopefully they can add a few servers soon. All in all, a fun place with a good menu; just try and get there early.

I went here for brunch this past weekend and felt like I had stepped into the best kept secret in Chicago. The back patio is AWESOME, they have bocce ball and bleacher like seating, plus tables with umbrellas and a partly enclosed bar. It feels like I'm in Nashville, and can't believe I'm right next to the highway because you can't hear it at all. The drinks and food were awesome too - I want to come back for the bucket of chicken and waffles, but I thoroughly enjoyed my bulgogi benedict, the fresh air, and the laid-back feel of the spot. Will DEFINITELY be coming back.
