Halfway into my brunch at Sauce and Bread, I had a stomach-dropping realization: I would never see the place so calm or quiet ever again. All the makings of a packed brunch spot are in place: the addictive breakfast sandwiches (spicy sausage cooled by a craveable feta sauce), the flaky scones, the carefully sourced coffee (two all-you-can-drink options, one from Dark Matter, the other from Stumptown) and the absolutely adorable space. Seats? There are some, but not nearly enough to hold the crowds I suspect are on their way. So get up early and do the rest of us a favor: Don’t tell your friends. 6338 N Clark St (773-942-6384, coopsauce.com).

The food here is delightful, the owners are super cool, and the coffee is rad. Plus you can stock up on Co-op hot sauce (the best) while you wait for your organic, local, seasonal fare.
We miss this place so much! After moving to a new neighborhood on the other side of town, we have been craving the amazing eats at this place. The owners were fast friends, we were regulars.
