Soulé owner and chef Bridgette Flagg comes from a long line of great cooks—both her mother and grandmother were culinary heroes of their communities. Their doors were always open and their tables forever piled high with soulful eats. It didn't take Flagg long to discover that she possessed those same talents in the kitchen as well as a desire to feed her community. In 2017, she opened Soulé in West Town to showcase her third-generation recipes, including golden fried catfish, shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes.
