If a French chef cooked up American comfort food (think meatloaf, braised short ribs and pot pie) you’d end up with South Water Kitchen. There’s nothing really spectacular about the menu, but nothing wrong with it either. Come here for a solid meal and a tasty specialty drink before heading to the theater. You won’t leave hungry or disappointed, but you won’t write home about it either.
