Owner Teresa Ging came to the cupcake biz from Wall Street, which may explain where she developed a penchant for shots. At Sugar Bliss, though, that means dollar frosting shots, in flavors like dark-chocolate, strawberry-cream-cheese, lemon-coconut or orange-vanilla-zest, all adorned with the shop’s signature flower design. For more than just a sugar high, the small downtown shop sells fresh fruit–studded muffins and cupcakes that run the gamut from classic (such as Texas Red Velvet) to unconventional (the seasonal Pina Colada cake with pineapple buttercream).
