Look for the loyal following of Mike-heads: sushi foodies who’ve followed chef “Sushi Mike” from Hama Matsu and San Soo Gap San to this small, casual sushi bar. If you try the cooked items, you’re likely not to go back. If you order your own sushi, you’re likely to offer up a “So what.” But if you make like the regulars and put yourself in Sushi Mike’s hands (name your price, and he creates a combo), you might just become a believer.

Took my daughter for our birthdays and Mike didn't disappoint. We sat at the bar told him what we liked and didn't like and let him decide the menu. It was amazing! My daughter who eats Sushi a few times a week said this was one of the best sushi she had ever had. All of the dishes were artistically displayed but even better tasted amazing and very fresh.
Sushi Mike can take my money. First, this place is BYOB, and you can purchase the finest wines and beer that Jewel has to offer right across the street. I attempted to go here last weekend and was turned down due to a full house. Who knew Andersonville booked up? I got smart and made a reservation for attempt numero dos. After a brief glance at the menu, the server offered up the sushi Mike special, which is around $20 per roll, and you just tell them what you hate or allergic to and leave it up to the sushi gods. Our first roll was wrapped in salmon and included crab, avocado, and some sort of sauce. Second was a tuna concoction and third was a spicy tuna special. All were melt in your mouth creamy and delicious and super fresh. We'll be back, sushi Mike!
