The idea behind this sophisticated spot from the owner of Scarlet was to give Boystown a place to fuel up between hitting the nearby clubs. It’s not that the homey and (very) basic Italian-American-ish dishes (phyllo-wrapped mozarella drizzled with truffled honey; smoked duck angolotti) don’t accomplish that goal; it’s just that with cocktails this well-made and a room this classy, none of these boys are leaving.

Holy boozy brunch Batman. I was warned. I should've known. But man oh man I wasn't prepared.

For $29 plus tip you get more than enough food (and good, fancy food too!) and what is probably far too much alcohol for a Sunday. The martinis are stronger than they appear (I opted for the upgrade to get the 750 - yum). The mimosas last longer than you think they will (especially since they're refilled until entrees arrive). And the food is excellent (I upgraded for chicken and waffles and was definitely pleased - the strawberry salad was just okay).

This is definitely a new favorite for brunch when I want to forget all responsibilities for the rest of the day :)
