Here to prevent Loop lunchers from sandwich overload is this Mediterranean café, which touts itself as serving “fresh and healthy, low fat and low cholesterol” food. It’s cute that the owners think we’re interested in the health benefits, isn’t it? They don’t seem to realize that we’re going to crowd this place for their hearty kefta kebab, daily specials such as the Moroccan chicken and anything having to do with the fluffy, dill-flecked rice. If we’re still looking for health food after all that, we’ll have to go somewhere else.

This is probably the most criminally underrated Middle Eastern spot in the Loop. The falafel is made to perfection each and every single time (I would know, this my go to around here), and the traditional dishes are nothing to scoff at either. I'd take this falafel over Naf Naf Grill or Benjyehuda any day of the week.
