The Common Cup

Time Out says

Get a side of “feel-good” with your Intelligentsia coffee and homemade cranberry muffin knowing that the dollar you shoved in the tip jar is going to a different local, nonprofit organization each month. But more than just a fueling station, this café is a vital community node: an outlet for the artists and musicians (performances on most Fridays) in Rogers Park.

The Common Cup is owned by a terrific person, Ruth Hoekwater, she has grace under pressure, the coffee and the sandwiches are delicious, the staff is attentive, they help artists by putting their art work in the walls, and Ruth Hoekwater and staff contributes to the community with money, care for individuals and families. Their goal is to help many people.

I love this place. Great coffee, good food and a friendly staff. Plus WiFi for customers.
