The India Grill (CLOSED)

At this South Loop Indian spot, classics abound, from tandoori chicken to lamb rogan josh, with plenty of traditional meatless dishes for vegetarians. Dinner is a la carte; the lunch buffet is $11.99, and it’s a solid assortment of all the usual suspects, from crispy samosas to mildly spicy chicken tikka masala. Purists will appreciate that dark meat chicken is used as opposed to flavorless breasts and that lamb is stewed on the bone. Others will have enough fun of their own staring into the massive, over-the-top chandeliers and channeling that last trip to Vegas.
