On Park District grounds and mere feet from the lake, this sandwich-and-salad shack has an idyllic location that can’t be beat. Bring the pooch and grab a picnic table in the sand or on the shaded patio, but make sure you’re seated comfortably: The service lags (and is sometimes curt). Still, if you’re prepared to chill out for about 30 minutes until you get coconut crab cakes, a lobster roll or key lime pie, you’ll be just fine.

One of my favorite spots in warm months! I love to come here and get a bottle of wine and look out on the beautiful lake during sunset. Great views of the loop and the lake and fireworks! A nice intimate space to listen to the live performers there. Good food too, I love the crab stuff avocado! Just a fantastic spot!

I recently discovered this gem and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The cafe is not visible from the street, so you will have to walk into the park to access it. Once you enter the park, you will understand why it's a nice hidden gem. The rocks and the open view of the Lake makes you forget that you are in Chicago. The drinks and view was the best part, the food not so much.

I love sitting outside, looking out at the lake with coffee and other goodies from the menu.

You go here for the ambience. No matter where you sit, you get a great view of the lake. It's more of a place for snacks like hummus than a full dinner, but sometimes the cafe also hosts music (typically jazz or acoustic sets).

Great place to go for a lunch along the lake. Salads and wraps are fresh and delicious. Both served with a thin pita bread. Sangria and other refreshing cocktails are served as well Great views of the lake!
