Time Out says

This classy breakfast-and-lunch spot near the Art Institute had its origins in Hinsdale, but it may as well have had its beginnings in Paris. The pastry case is full of all manner of European-style cakes, tarts and breakfast pastries. An almond Danish and cappuccino is a distinguished beginning to any day; a pan bagnat is an elegant middle.

Toni's desserts are incredible and each bite takes me right back to Paris. The signature white chocolate mousse cake is rave-worthy alone, but you also can't go wrong with the macaroons, salted caramel candies, tarts or mini eclairs. Toni recently updated the menu to include more savory crepes; my favorite is the chicken and mushroom crepe. The outdoor seats--inspired by Parisian cafes--are provided a bit of privacy with flower planters. Affordable and centrally located, this place is perfect for coffee and dessert with a friend. There's also a cocktail happy hour on weeknights.
