In biz for more than 30 years, Torishin serves izakaya-style “drinking foods” favored by Japanese salarymen though perhaps less familiar to gaijin. Try the buta ponzu, sliced pork served on ice with vinegar sauce that offers unique textures and temperatures. Seafood standouts include maguro shiso age, marinated tuna wrapped in shiso leaf and fried tempura, and ika-maruyaki, flavorful grilled squid topped with ginger.
