Toro Sushi

This place had us at the premeal hand towels: aspirinlike tablets that grow into towelettes when servers pour hot water over them. But this pint-size spot offers more than just gimmicks. Sushi man Mitch takes pride in serving oversize nigiri (that’s how he was taught, and he’s not changing) and creative rolls (we love the Crazy Horse combo of tuna, salmon, yellowtail and avocado topped with tobiko). Non–sushi eaters can opt for traditional Japanese dishes or house specials.

Toro sushi is the perfect place for date night or dinner with a few friends. It's an intimate space with tables centered around the sushi bar. It can get a bit busy during peak times because of this so be warned! The menu is huge and perfect for any expert or beginner sushi fan. The "That's how we roll" roll was our favorite but even the 'cheaper' rolls were amazing. It's byob so don't forget a bottle of wine or some beer.
