The small menu at this friendly BYOB is heavy on sandwiches, and the few entrées on offer—pan-seared salmon, mild chicken tikka masala—don’t stand out for their creativity. But the kitchen has a way of sneaking surprising flavors into otherwise standard fare. Case in point: spicy, creamy and endlessly flavorful harissa aioli that covers an otherwise predictable pile of hot, crispy calamari. The Indian touch carries over to brunch, where buttermilk pancakes are topped with chai syrup, and tamarind chutneys come alongside chickpea pancakes.
