Uncle’s Kabob (CLOSED)

The well-seasoned and sumptuous kebabs are indeed worthy of this restaurant’s name, but they’re even better when taken off the stick and put into a sandwich. The fluffy white rolls are soft but sturdy carriers for the juicy chicken kebab, and the pickled cabbage that tops it off is almost as addictive as the chicken itself. Grilled kibbeh (flat and sandwich-like here, not egg-shaped as it is normally found) is a hearty side to add on; the “potato chops,” golden discs of potato stuffed with ground beef, work as a side, too—though eat enough of them and they’re an entire meal themselves.
