A few things to keep in mind while visiting this popular Lincoln Park eatery: The carbonara, made the real way (with an egg and everything!) is excellent; the gnocchi, outsourced from an Italian-grandmother type, is rich and fluffy; and the salsiccia alla calabrese, with soft peppers and succulent sausage, is a good bet. The wine list is surprisingly decent for a restaurant at this price level. And the rest of the food…well, it passes muster. Thin pizzas, bulging panzerotti and a somewhat mushy eggplant parmigiana are fine but nothing special.
