When I was 21, I went on a blind date with a girl. Turned out she was a 42-year-old divorcee and the manager of a Harley-Davidson dealership. She rocked all leather to dinner and then asked me to drop her off at her sister's house, where she typically crashed on the couch, at the end of the night. (Seriously, the date was so awkward that I had a friend call during dinner to bail me out.)

I really, really dislike pretentiousness and the expectation that everything should be handed to you.
