Keep it simple. Coffee, cupcakes, nothing big. The focus should be on getting to know my date. What makes it perfect is that we have fun and connect.

I like a lot of the coffee shops and restaurants in my neighborhood, but for a date, I'll usually go to Uncommon Ground.

If she has a little bit of a sci-fi streak, she'll have my attention. I went to a date's apartment once and she had the DVD of Terminator 2 on her coffee table. That relationship had potential.
