Jack Spade
This storefront is all about a mishmash of utility and style. With its messenger bags ($150–$395), briefcases ($155–$465), totes ($175–$495) and computer sacks ($195–$395), you can count on fabrics that keep your goods in swell condition. For instance, the Industrial Canvas bag ($195) is dipped into rubber latex for added protection. Don’t forget to check out men’s clothing and accessories while you’re there. 47 E Oak St (312-915-0315)

Moncler
Abandon your marshmallow snow gear this winter and embrace Moncler’s trendy wares. Stand out with high-end, bright-colored men’s and women’s vests and jackets (purple, blue, red, green; $795–$1,900). And instead of wearing out your Uggs another year, transition your piggies with this brand’s selection of stylish snow boots. 33 E Oak St (312-361-8573)

Pomellato
Delicate gold frames nestling colored gems is the unifying theme for this Gold Coast boutique. Rings, earrings and necklaces ($70–$80,000) sport luxe rocks (blue topaz, amethyst, peridot, garnet) touched with accents, such as the Italian brand’s signature metal, rose gold or diamonds. We’re fans of the intricate Pom Pom collection: statement rings covered in an array of jewels, such as black diamonds, sapphires and faceted emeralds. 41 E Oak St (312-649-9720)

Shrine
This luxury sanctuary pays homage to European accessories for men in its second-story storefront. The store’s owner, Rafik Boughadou, will update you with a brief history lesson on each piece (think Lagomarsino Argentine fedoras, Francesco Maglia umbrellas and Glenn cuff links from Japan) while you sip English tea—or Scotch if it’s after 11am. 47 E Oak St, second floor (312-675-2105)

Vince
Known for its cashmere and leather goods, this relaxed-luxury brand graces the Gold Coast with merch department stores don’t typically carry. Go casual with oversized knits for women (starting at $148) and fitted sweaters for men ($145), or veer from the basic staples and play dress up with the baggy antique silver sequin tee ($295) or men’s hooded thermal cardigan ($185) slipped under a moss, distressed leather jacket ($850). 106 E Oak St (312-280-6890)
