At just 20 years old, owner Dave Douglass opened his first rock shop selling minerals and fossils he'd collected. More than 40 years later, his rock shop is still just as down to earth despite being filled with an incredible collection of everything from a Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth to gemstone jewelry and Native American art.

As an icon in the Evanston / Chicago area, Dave's is a must visit! They have something for everyone's budget, (from 50 cent pieces to several thousand).
Where else can you find museum quality mineral specimens, fossils, Native American Artistry, or jewelry, at a price much lower than other establishments that provide material of less quality?
From serious collectors to someone simply shopping for a gift or home accent, to a child that loves rocks or dinosaurs, Dave's has it all.
Plus the staff is super friendly & knowledgeable.
Did I mention they have a FREE museum downstairs? Amazing!
Is it too on the nose to say that this place rocks? Dave's has all kinds of rocks for sale, including precious stones and not-so-precious hunks of sediment that look pretty. Don't forget to go downstairs to check out the museum, where you'll find a collection of fossils that will make you want to dig up your own backyard.
