Fashion’s Night Out
Last year, the annual economy-booster party hit a new level with fashion shows, events where the drinks and eats were abundant, and perks with your purchases. This year’s event has all of that and more, with everything from hairstyling to manis at the 900 Shops, a special FNO makeup collection at Chanel and a free gift when you purchase an FNO tee from Henri Bendel. Sept 6. Various locations. 6–11pm; free.

Nike Chicago
Niketown is back with a museum-level homage to the Bears, a Chicago-exclusive line of running shoes and a special treat for basketball sneaker freakers: every shoe from the Jordan footwear collection on display. Opens mid-September. 669 N Michigan Ave.

Uniqlo
Japanese clothing company Uniqlo is in the midst of a nationwide expansion. Reps are mum on plans for a Chicago store, but good news: The shop is taking its merch online. Load up on all the well-designed, affordable basics (e.g., cashmere sweaters and tees) Uniqlo has built its name on. Uniqlo.com launches in October.

Burberry
Shoppers can finally get more than a quick fix of that signature plaid. Burberry moves back across the street to its original, now-expanded location with a five-story flagship on Michigan Avenue. Find the whole kit and caboodle: heritage rainwear, children’s, beauty, the London and Brit lines, and more. Opens early November. 633 N Michigan Ave.
