Bodified by Melissa Melissa Carr offers one-on-one and group personal-training options for determined brides-to-be. Carr meets clients in their own home, her personal studio at Blockhead Fitness Inc. (557 W North Ave) or outside for some fresh-air exercise. She keeps you moving and sweating by implementing circuit training with resistance and cardio, and throwing in some kickboxing for stress relief. One-on-one sessions are $350 per month for three one-hour sessions a week. Group training is $15–$25 per session, depending on group size. bodifiedfitness.com

Brides Run We all know running is a great way to shed pounds and relieve stress, and this running club focuses on those two benefits in preparing brides and bridal parties for their big day. The group meets on Sundays at 39th Street and Lake Shore Drive. Its flagship event, the 5K Brides Run on July 24, is the perfect goal for brides and their buddies to work toward and experience together. Brides Run connects brides to a community of brides and a network of vendors in preparing for your wedding day. Membership is free but registration is required. Bridesrun.com

DEAL Fit to be a Bride Personal trainer Mary Mulcahy knows how daunting that white dress can be. In response, she has developed a high-intensity bridal boot camp that employs the blasting method (which trains key muscle groups more often and with more intensity than typical training) to achieve results quickly. Translation: She’s going to kick your butt. Mulcahy offers her sessions either in your home or at HiFi Fitness (1030 W North Ave), and group discounts are available if you care to include your groom or bridesmaids. Depending on package commitments, sessions are $60–$75 (Mention TOC, and get $200 off your package purchase). fittobeabride.com

Road Warrior Athletics RWA’s six-week bridal boot camp meets four times a week at 31st Street Beach and 63rd Street Beach, with the next session beginning Saturday 5. The hour-long outdoor classes incorporate cardio, full-body strengthening and conditioning drills and plyometrics. Each bride also receives a goody bag and one free fitness maintenance class during the week of her wedding. $175 rwafitness.com/bridalbootcamp.html

UNICUS Fitness Wedding Boot Camp UNICUS Fitness was developed by husband-and-wife team Frank Nunez and Dina Castillo with the intent of breaking away from the standard gym models and focusing on results—not memberships. They say their strictly personalized programs have slimmed down thousands of brides, grooms and wedding parties. If you don’t drop one dress or pant size for each month in the program, a full refund is guaranteed. The next session begins Monday 7 and will be held at two locations: the Fitness Lair (233 N Michigan Ave) and Chatham Center (1901 N Roselle Rd, Schaumburg). $150, weddingbootcamp.com
