KIMBERLY SHAH, 32, Gold Coast
When she’s not teaching running and Spinning classes at Equinox, Shah coaches folks for marathons and triathlons ( njoylifestyle.com). When she’s not doing that, she’s training or racing—from 5Ks all the way up to Ironman events (that’s a 2.4 mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run—wowza!). Most recently, she finished third in her age group at the Sprint Triathlon nationals. (We have no idea when this hard-core athlete sleeps.) She’s accumulated a ton of gear over the years, but covets everything on this page—and so will the gym rat or racing fiend in your life.
My favorite budget stocking stuffer is…Balega running socks, at Fleet Feet. “Amazing, amazing, amazing—my all-time favorite sock. They’re comfy, they don’t bunch up and they have a long sock life!”
If you have to get a gift certificate, get it from…iTunes. “I love to find new ‘power songs’ that motivate me on my long runs.”
Please don’t get me another…sports watch. “I have eight of them, plus I have six GPSs.”
