Inside this 29,000-square-foot home-improvement outlet, expect to find new items priced at 50 percent off retail, plus gently used and reclaimed building materials, windows, doors, furniture, appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting and more, priced to sell. Think of it as a mecca for DIY rehabbers, building owners, homeowners, contractors, environmentalists, interior designers and builders alike. Proceeds from ReStore help keep materials out of landfills, and raise funds for new homes built through Habitat for Humanity. The store is always looking for volunteers and donations (which are tax deductible).
